Travel Essential 102

As we were talking about traveling and essentials for a travel pouch, we discussed about skin and hair care essentials in the previous post. Click here if you haven’t read it yet!

Today we will continue the post and list down some of my favorite make up’s without which I don’t travel.

Here are some of the products which can be used in different ways to create various looks and help you glamorous girls to look and click perfect pictures during your journey. The key is to travel with very less products and still slay the look.

A kohl pencil: We all know that dark eyes can never go wrong! A kohl pencil can be used as:

1. Smugging the kajal to create a smoking look.Generally a kohl comes with it’s own smudger but in case you don’t have then it’s always good to carry one.

2. Then obviously to tight line your waterline. For a bold eye look, you can apply a thick layer on the top and bottom waterline.

3. A normal winged liner can be drawn using the kohl pencil.

Different color liners:

1. I love applying colorful liquid liners . Liquid eyeliners are my favorite. I carry a lot of colors with me, so that I can play with them by creating vibrant looks.

2. If you don’t like a lot of colors then you can always switch to brown gel liners or liquid liners. It looks good in day as well as night and you can use it to throw some color in the lids. Smoky eyes to just tight lining your water line anything can look gorgeous with a brown eye color.

3. You can always skip a separate eyebrow pencil if you are having a brown pencil.

4. A nude pencils comes very handy. You can obviously use to open up your tired eyes but other than that you can use it highlight brow bone and bridge of the nose along with Cupid’s bow.

A higher, bronzer, contour kit: These kits are easy to carry and can be useful in creating a lot of looks.

1. A contour powder can be used as a transition color or can be used as a solo color in the eyes.

2. You can use the contour powder to set the eye shadow base n top it up with bronzer and highlighter.

3. And ofcourse you can use it for the purpose it is meant to fulfill. And achieve a perfect sculpted look.

Eye shadow palette: A eye shadow palette can have a brow color, highlighter, contour shade, blusher and of course eye lid colors.

1. Now it is your task to miss and match the colors and make a perfect eye shadow pallette so, that you can make it multi-tasking. But in case you want something which is easily available and serves almost the same purpose then here is a reference.

Lipsticks:

Here comes my favorite part. I am a lipstick person and I carry a lot is shades with me.

1. But if I had to choose then a transfer proof liquid lipstick in a bold and a nude shade is must.Other than that I love to have a coral shade and pink shade as well.

2. Actually you can take a glossy and a creamy lipstick as mattes can be little extra drying during travel.

Foundation and Compact. These are the basics. If you aren’t a foundation person then can totally avoid to carry the huge bottel and replace it with a BB or CC cream. Don’t forget a primer. That will protect your skin and also make your make up long lasting.

1. You can also carry a concealer and correcter if you feel the need to .

2. I like to carry a compact powder. That comes handy and instantly controls oils and gives a healthy finish to the dull skin.

1. Mascara– I don’t need to say how important this product is for all the girls. I carry a waterproof mascara which will stay whole day without smugging.

1. Sometimes if I am in a hurry I do use the mascaras leftovers to set my brows.

Tools– This completely depends on how you like to use your products and how comfortable you are in using limited tools.

1. Beauty blender(you can use it for liquids and powders both) but a powder brush can be used for blush, contour, highlighters, eyeshadow blending brush, flat brush for placement of the product etc.

P.S.- These products are my travel essentials. They might not work for you but you can always add and subtract according to your need.
