Why bold lips?

Bold statement lips are winter’s best friend. I don’t know about you girls but I religious wait for fall to come so that I can wear my sweatshirts, pull overs and bold lip shades. Summer’s are generally dedicated for corally, nude, soft lips and winter’s are for bold, dark lips. Obviously we can always break the stereotypes and play with all colors in all the season but if I talk about the trends then yes bolds are for winters.

All about 2017 lipstick’s:

Just few days remaining for 2017 to end and I can still recall how we went crazy this year for liquid mattes, powder mattes, ombre lips, balmy lip stains and what not. Blues, whites and blacks dominated a lot of styles in India. My search for perfect transfer proof matte liquid Lipsticks ended and we shifted again towards the shinny, glittery textures.

Whatever happened , the end result is lipsticks has always been an important part in the every women’s life. A lot of them can’t go without it and for lot of them it is the only make up they prefer.

My top 2 bold lip options:

Today’s post is all about bold, dark lipsticks and here are few options.

1.NOTE’S Matte moist lipgloss :

Note is one of few drugstore brands who makes good affordable liquid matte lipsticks. Shy be doy is one of my darkest lipsticks . It is a dark berry color. It has blue under tone and will suit across complexion.

Pros:

Non drying.

Affordable (priced at Rs 650-680/-).

Non patchy .

Pigmented.

Cons:

Semi Matte.

Transferable.

5 to 6 hours stay.

2.Chambor powder matte :

A brown undertone red color, with burgundy hint to it. Why I consider it as bold color because it is buildable. This shade can be carried as a normal brown or red and also layered to make a bold red.

Pros:

Power matte look

Non patchy

Long lasting

Affordable ( Rs 645/-)

Buildable

Pigmentation is decent

Cons-

Slightly drying, need lip balm underneath.

Non smooth and buttery texture.

In this post I am not recommending the shades but the type of formula which are best for winters . Bold shades can differ according to skin tones but the textures and formula which best suited me by not being patching or drying was of these two brands. Other than note and chambor there are branks like pac, nyakka and lakme which has a good formula for dark shades. I have also tried NYX and loreal but am confused for the darker shades. Here we are only talking about liquid and power mattes because they suited my bold lips the best.
