Maybelline New York’s collaboration with Gigi Hadid!!

How are you doing? I know it has been a long time since I posted a blog and I am very sorry for that…

Today I have an exciting and most awaited collection’s review for you beautiful ladies out there!! And as it is clear from the headline, our favorite brand Maybelline New York’s Gigi Hadid collection is finally launched in India. It is called the Gigi Hadid X Maybelline Collaboration

They have till now launched:

1. Fiber mascara

2. Pen liner

3. Brow liner

4. Gel liner

5. Lipsticks

They will be launching more products tentatively on Valentine’s day!! I am very excited for jetsetter pallette but apart from the eyeshadow palette they have strobing cream, primers also.

I purchased a lipstick for myself after watching and reading a lot of reviews.

Now they have launched lipsticks in two sets East and West coast. I got a nude shade from the East coast collection . West is more of Reds. In total they have 6 shade in the collection.

I got it from Nykaa.

It is priced at Rs 550.

The shade name is Erin.

Packaging: It’s like a powder pink or nude pink short of packaging and comes in a luxurious, sturdy matte finish case which has Gigi Hadid’s name embedded in the cap and the shade details on the bottom of the bullet. The outer packing is holographic and looks very attractive.

Texture: It says matte lipsticks but they are more of creamy. They aren’t like completely matte but is quite comfortable semi-matte lipsticks. They are not at all drying. So that’s a good part. Though it won’t give you a liquid matte lipstick finish which is downside for me because price is not that affordable. It is most of a the Maybelline creamy matte lipsticks with a better packaging.

Stay: It will last for about 4-5 hours and then start fading away. It isn’t long lasting but you can obviously make it one. If you eat or drink then it will smudge and also transfer.

About the shade: Erin is a neutral shade with nice mauvey, purplely kinda shade. It is quite unique. I didn’t have such color and it suits beautifully on light to medium and slightly deep skin tones. It is a very nice nude shade and I think the only shade which isn’t available in other brands.

Recommendation: If you are Gigi Hadid fan then definitely you should buy these but honestly I didn’t like the products a lot. Like I also tried there liner and mascara which was an okay product for me. But I know how it feels not trying out a hyped make up collection!! So for those who are dieing to buy the Gigi Hadid collaboration can try Erin . It is an universally flattering shade which can be a good pick for the makeup lovers. Or else Valentine’s day isn’t too far!! Rest is launching on 14th of February 2018 in India. Other countries it has already launched and apparently is a big hit. So let’s be little patient….
