Hey, hello!

How are you guys doing? Today is officially the last day of 2019, most of you must be having tons of plans to celebrate your 31st with a blast while rest of you might choose to stay cozy under the blanket and celebrate the last day of the year by indulging in self-care. Although, whatever your plans might be, I hope and wish that you end up welcoming positivity & goodluck in the upcoming year. Read my previous blog here.

Now, let’s begin with our topic, which as you already must have read from the tittle is going to be healthy skin 2020. I will tell you 3 easy steps to get a consistent routine set for achieving healthy skin in 2020.

It is important to note that nothing can be achieved overnight, you need to maintain consistency inorder to see visible results.

Defination of healthy skin here means the skin that radiates from within. Your skin naturally will look glowing, hydrated and pumped. Here our aim is to get a clean and clear face that naturally looks healthy. But you need to understand if you have scars then also you can achieve a fresh looking skin, marks will fed away eventually, learn to accept them. Flaws are a part of our life and we can work to achive a healthy skin which will take time and practice.

Step 1 – CTM routine

Cleansing, tonning and moisturising cannot be avoided under any circumstances. Be it a dull, tired and bad day, sleeping without washing face will give you pimples the next day.

Next use a tonner, I have already talked about the importance of toner. It helps in closing your open pores and also hydrates your skin. If you have oily skin then use a toner with glycolic acid or green tea extracts. Toners help in removing the dead skin cells and providing a glow to your face. If you don’t want to spend a fortune on toners use a rose water: pure rose water is the best affordable toner for every skin type.

Moisturizing again is very vital for any skin type. You have to use a moisturizer to get a hydrated, pumped, glowing, healthy looking skin.

Step 2- Never ever forget sunscreen

Using a sunscreen with atleast spf 50 and pa +++ protection to prevent sun damage. Be it any season, there is always sun and it’s rays emitting UV A & UV B rays that can penetrate inside your skin and affect your cells. Therefore even if you stay indoor use a sunscreen to protect your skin from the harmful sun rays.

Step 3- Drink water & eat fresh veggies, fruits regularly.

This is where the magic happens, good food & good sleep is something that can make or break your skin goals for 2020. If you follow above steps but don’t drink enough water or eat vitamins & minerals then you won’t be able to achieve your desire result. Include Omega 3 fatty acids, proteins, antioxidants, vitamin C & A, zinc and other vital nutrients in your daily diet inorder to see a visible result . Always drink water on a regular interval and try to include one Fruit atleast per day to fulfill your system’s nutrient needs. And most important keep yourself happy & stress free; make it a habit to have a sound sleep no matter how much busy you are. If your body is sleep deprived or stressed then you will feel dull & tired which eventually will show up on your face. In order to reduce the free radicals or oxidative stress, try to eat healthy & get sound sleep, rest will follow.

PS – Self-love is the key, be happy & love Yourself rest will fall into place eventually.

Hope you enjoyed reading!

About Cactus & Sunflower

"Cactus & Sunflower" is  Grishma Satpathy's new venture in the digital space. The name comes from her deep relation

with her grandmother and the impressions of cactus and sunflower in their lives. As a child she used to share all her curiosities

about the plants with her 'MAA'. Her grandmother believed that 'Grishma' and 'Sunflower' have so much in common;

both are associated with sun and is the ultimate source of light. She always said Grishma to always make sure to carry

that light within yourself wherever you go and whatever you do.
