The stunning white building standing tall at the southern Bank of Yamuna river in Agra is among one of the most celebrated tourist places in India.

More than 3 million people visits this place to admire the 7th wonder of the world.

Hello guys,
How are you doing?
Sorry for acting very lazy and not being that frequent with the uploads but today’s post will hopefully make it up for all the delays!
I recently visited the beautiful Taj Mahal and if you already have been to this amazing place then you can totally relate to each and every click and relive all your memories with me again! And for those who are yet to pay a visit then this post is totally meant for you!

This is infront of the South gate of the Taj Mahal which will lead you inside!
You have to be early or else you will have to wait a lot in the queue! Otherwise also a little wait is fair to see the most amazing monument of all time! Right?

Taj Mahal is the perfect and best example to cherish the Mughal architecture, which combined Indian, Persian and Islamic influences .

Built over more than 20 years Taj Mahal is considered to be one of the most beautiful architectural building of all times.

The mesmerizing beauty of the spectacular white glazed building is beyond explanation.

The Mugal emperor Shaha Jahan constructed this magnificent mausoleum in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who died after giving birth to his 14th child.

Taj Mahal meaning ‘Crown Palace’ was commissioned in 1632 and was built over 2 decade i.e. 1658.

An English poet, Sir Edwin Arnold best describes it as “Not a piece of architecture, as other buildings are, but the proud passion of an emperor’s love wrought in living stones.”

Now I really wanted to visit this place from a long time and finally I got a chance to go there! I choose to go with a travel agency but you can go anyhow! By road is the best I feel as you can take the Taj express highway from Delhi and reach there by maximum 4 hours!

The travel agencies are best for those who are without a personal vehicle and who wants to visit a lot of places in the same days like I did. Even for the tourist these agencies can be really convenient. They are quick and hassel free. You can plan for Agra just a day before you want to visit. Yes, it is that easy.

Things to keep in mind the time and the season of visit. I would suggest to visit during winters as summer can be really painful. So from late October to early February can be the best time.

Taj Mahal is busy and crowded throughout the year. So better travel with minimum bags or else there are chances of pick pockets.

Inorder to avoid the big queue we hired a tourist guide who took us through a lesser taken road in about 200INR but yes they can ask upto 1000 INR or more if you cannot bargain. So sharpen your skills before heading.

The place offers varieties of local stuffs to buy outside the building. There are lot of street shops from which you can take a souvenir home.

Don’t think that the queue is limited till the entry. There is a huge line to get inside the tomb as well. So plan your day accordingly. We visited this place after the lunch so that we can stay here the whole day and watch the sunset and then head for snacks.

Spread over 42 acres land, this beautiful place is open throughout the year from 6 am to 6 pm i.e you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and the sunset at the Taj. Except on Fridays where the place is closed for the rest of the public and only accessible in the afternoon for Muslims to attend prayers i.e. during nighttime: 08:30 pm to 12:30 am.

The entry fees for domestic is about Rs40/- and forgeiners Rs 1000/-

Witnessing the beautiful sunset is the best part after waiting like for about 2hours or so in the queue. But if you are a forgeiner then you get special treatment and can skip the queue and pave your way straight inside the tomb without any delays.

I cannot explain how much I enjoyed with my friends here! We returned the same day as we visited Agra fort also the same day.

We choose to take this tonga ride which I would strongly recommend as it is something which is becoming extinct from our culture. And trust me it was a hell lot of fun! And by the way her name was Sunita!

I hope you enjoyed this blog as much as I did in putting it all together for you guys. I wish this has helped you some way but still I am attaching some links which might help to plan for Taj Mahal!
